 Provision of internet service to the government agencies and directories

 
The governmental internet project is one of the most important projects of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) that reflects the government vision to unite all the initiatives to provide a powerful source of internet service and cut the costs incurred by the application of different methods for the same service, such as (Modem, Dial Up or ADSL). This service also contribute to the mitigation of unnecessary official bureaucracy related to the accounting and payment for the service in the previously used form of (prepaid) each agency administrating it is own service. In the meantime, a great number of civil servants were given the opportunity to utilize this new service. In the first and second stages of the project, (Wi-Fi) system is been applied with the frequency of (GH5.8) used in the (Free Band). In the first stage the project covered 13 cities with the total band of (Mb76) and in the second stage the project covered 13 cities with the total band of (Mb75). This service has so far reached close to 600 government agencies.
