| Transportation in Kurdistan |
After the parliament elections and establishing the authority of Kurdistan region in 1992, the authority of Kurdistan region decided the rules of transportation for the purpose of organizing the way of transporting.
At that time the Ministry of Transportation and Communication posed an appropriate system for transportation that was the permission for the companies and special sections and offices for transporting the people and other things (equipment, fuel...) that was the reason of competition for appropriating and balancing the prices and avoiding the monopolization.. After the uprising of Kurdish people in (1991), The Iraqi Government decided to return back all of the Governmental offices from Kurdistan to the center of Iraq.
With those situations the department of posts in Kurdistan was continuing their duty, but by the posing of preventing international aids and also preventing Iraq from economical helps then the posts was only exchanged locally, the same stamp of Iraq was used.. [more]
